• Emergency Contact Information: Name and phone number of designated emergency contacts

• Comments meta info: Visitor IP and address and browser user agent string

We use the information collected to:

• Provide pet care services and ensure the well-being of your pet

• Contact you about bookings, schedule changes, or pet-related concerns

  • By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Barkside. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

•  Implied Consent for Service Communication:

• If you book our services, we may contact you about your appointment or pet’s needs without additional consent.

4. How We Protect Your Data

We take security seriously and have measures in place to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption & Secure Storage: All client data is stored in BusyPaws

• Limited Access: Only authorized employees have access to sensitive client and pet information.

• Data Retention: We only keep personal data as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal requirements.

5. Third-Party Services & Data Storage

We use third-party services to process payments and manage bookings. These services may store data outside Canada. We ensure they comply with PIPEDA and international privacy laws.

  • Stripe – Secure online payments

  • Sendfox – Secure email
